WHITE ZAGREB
The Christmas tree at Ban Jelačić Square is the central symbol of the Christmas holidays in the city. Every year, the tree is decorated with ornaments and lights, inviting visitors to gather, sing, and celebrate together. Surrounded by snow-covered pines and twinkling lights, the square becomes a true winter fairy tale that brings an unforgettable holiday atmosphere and creates a beautiful winter postcard.

BALL ON THE UPPER TOWN
Illuminated path is additionally refined by art installations which evoke holiday festivities in a special way – through the magic of light. Shhhh – on Gradec plateau you will also find a special surprise which will surely amaze you! A light spectacle commences from the entrance onto Radićeva Street, passing through the Zakmardi steps and all over Strossmayer promenade, leading the visitors on a magical journey towards the heart of Advent – a ball in Klovićevi dvori, where a magnificent chandelier will shine once again, creating an atmosphere of a true fairy-tale ball salon.

POLAR EXPRESS
Advent season cannot be cold due to the warmth in our hearts, and this Christmas won’t be without snow – you will find it in Grič tunnel, which is becoming the North Pole just for this occasion! This fairy-tale passage draws its inspiration from Chris Van Allsburg’s book, Polar express, which pictures a magical journey to the far north. By entering the tunnel, you will open the door into a world of icebergs, mystic polar animals’ shelters and unusual castle domes. A train journey through its viaducts will reveal a true polar light magic, as well as some other worlds which enchant us with the same kind of warmth this special time of year usually brings.

NUTCRACKERS & THE CROATIAN NATIONAL THEATRE
For over a century, this square in the heart of Zagreb has been filled with art, both within the imposing building of the Croatian National Theatre and outside in the open, where the square becomes a stage for numerous cultural events and artistic expressions. This Advent, these two aspects of the square will be wrapped in Christmas art – with festive lighting decorations and oversized Nutcrackers on the outside, while the atrium and foyer inside will be filled with joyful Christmas spirit. So, visitors can take a peek at this magnificent neobaroque building and immortalize that magic with a perfect Christmas photo during the afternoon hours!

GRAND BIG CHRISTMAS
Tiny, glass, glittering and colorful decorations, bells, snowflakes, and baubles, during Advent and only on King Petar Svačić Square, spread out in dimensions to become huge decorative giants. Oversized sculptures of otherwise small Christmas ornaments this year create a supernatural walk through the paths of Svačić Square and the park. Take a walk and enjoy the great little wonders accompanied by light Christmas music.

LAYERS OF CHRISTMAS
A place for meeting and creating precious memories: unusual, tall pine trees filled with warm lighting, gently adorned with layers of fabric that sway softly in the breeze. These warm tones and soft contours create an idyllic setting on Vlaška and Masarykova streets that will take passersby’s breath away and invite them for a unique photo opportunity against a backdrop embodying photogenic appeal, impressiveness, and warmth. This is not a typical Christmas installation but a scene that perfectly conveys the Advent spirit with an added artistic dimension.
